This Christmas Season Joey desperately wanted to make a gingerbread house, and he was thrilled to find out that one of our very good friends gave us a kit. right away went to work building it. there are a few things missing because he couldn't resist eating a thing or two off of it!

Christmas around the house

For some reason this year I did not want to decorate for Christmas, I don't know why but the colors were too bright , if felt like it looked too busy and it gave me an overwhelming feeling, but yesterday I got to spend the day with my best friend (in the whole world) and after being in her home (which feels like the safest place on earth) and just really taking in the holiday spirit with her, it made me appreciate the season that much more so now I'm looking forward to this wonderful season and having the Spirit of Christmas in my home.

15 years ago today was one of the happiest days of my life....why you ask???

because on this day many years ago I was blessed with this beautiful baby boy who has grown up to be someone who I truly admire. He has made us laugh with his sense of humor and cry when he reveals his tender heart, our family would have a huge hole without Chris there to fill it! Happy Birthday Sweet Christopher

I can't believe it has been 11 yrs since my sweet Joey was born, he was such a special baby, being born at 1 lb 6 oz. from the day he was born he has kept us on our toes and I don't see that stopping ever. Chris and his new coat

Chris has been working on a farm the past few weekends and what he bought with his money is this pea coat that he is very proud of. He looks so handsome in it huh? I love the fact that he is finally willing to work hard for what he wants, makes me feel all warm inside:)

It doesn't take much!

Joey woke up this morning Happy as he looked out the window and saw the first snow of the year he was only awake for no more than 10 minutes when he came downstairs all dressed with hat and gloves ready to go to work outside.

One sick Joey!

This morning Joey woke up not feeling his best, his tummy hurt pretty bad, by mid morning he was throwing up and very weak and pretty much not letting me out of his sight, he had me running up and down the stairs, which I think he enjoyed a little too much. But by afternoon he felt much better still a little lazy but way better than this morning. he's such a cutie and love him to the ends of the earth!  But this morning I sure had one sick Joey!

My Visiting teaching companion for the day!

Today I needed to go Visiting teaching, and since I didn't have my companion with me Joey happily decided to step in. I didn't have a car today and the house is about a  mile away, but we decided to get a back pack ready and head off...We had a really good visit with one of my favorite people for a good hour and then we were on our way back when we saw two little girls from church out on their farm, they told us they had baby Peacocks and wanted to know if we wanted to take a peek, we did, Joey and I thought they were funny looking but kinda cute! as we walked home Joey wanted to take a picture of me then I took one of him. What a great companion!

 It's been a good day! :)

happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mother's Birthday she is 75 years old and 30 years at heart. Over the past 3 years she's become one of my best friends, My day doesn't start till I call her or she calls me.She supports me in all that I do and I hope I do the same for her. Happy Birthday Mommy!

A Sweet Surprise!

So I started bringing out my fall decor and started at the front door, One of the first things that I did was change my flowers from summer to fall. When I took the summer flowers out of this metal hanging vase that hangs on the brick wall next to my from door I found a sweet surprise.....check it out!

Since we have a waterfall out front that usually attracts hundreds of birds, I guess one of them thought it was a perfect place to start a family.....What a sweet surprise!

Can You Smell it?

Okay.....So really I don't bake, but something is in the air that is really getting me excited about Fall.

 It could very well be me talking a lot to my sister Lisa about all the plans we have for the holidays. I am so ready to season up my front porch with Fall decor, is it too early? Well today I had the chance to pick some WONDERFUL peaches at my moms and decided to make a peach cobbler, (for some reason that reminds me of being little). Well I googled a recipe and it really only took a few minutes ....it is wonderful!

 I know I know I'm on a diet but a  bite don't count....does it?  :)

A Great day with my sisters!

Every year since I've moved here to Utah, My sister Regina always goes out of her way to make my birthday special! This year she treated me and my sister Lisa to a day in Park City. It started out at a ski resort where we got on ski lifts that took us up this very large mountain to a restaurant. 

Where we had lunch, after the server took our order he said "you must be hungry!" we were wondering why he said that till our order came

they were very large portions. But it was fabulous! we shared everything! YUMMY!

We then went downtown to try to do some shopping but it was way out of our price range...but we still tried to fit in

when that didn't work we decided to go to the outlet stores. It is so much fun spending time with my sisters, especially when I need a good laugh!
